Homeowners ask for one number. Published ranges do not agree, because they measure different jobs. Use them as a planning band, then get written estimates. Nothing on this page is a quote from this site.
Ranges published for Orlando
Angi’s Orlando interior article, updated August 4, 2026, says the cost to paint a house interior in Orlando averages $1,697, with most projects from $885 to $2,733, and discusses about $2 to $6 per square foot depending on what is included.
Angi’s Orlando exterior article says exterior painting averages $2,480, with most homeowners paying $1,677 to $3,292, and about $1.15 to $3.15 per square foot. It also says stucco can cost more to paint than vinyl.
Homeowner Henry’s 2026 Orlando painting guide, which describes its table as homeowner-reported estimates rather than a quote, publishes wider whole-house bands:
| Job described by Homeowner Henry | Published range |
|---|---|
| Exterior repaint, single-story stucco, about 1,800 sq ft | $4,500–$8,500 |
| Exterior repaint, two-story stucco or block, about 2,800 sq ft | $7,500–$14,000 |
| Interior whole-house repaint, 3 bed, 2 bath | $3,500–$7,000 |
| Pressure washing and mildew treatment, prep only | $300–$700 |
This site’s older Orlando promotional page says most homeowners spend between $3,000 and $8,000 or more. That sentence is still on Best Painters in Orlando (2026). It sits inside the bands above and is not a new estimate.
Why the ranges disagree
- Interior walls only are cheaper than walls, ceilings, and trim.
- Two stories and tall entries add access time.
- Stucco often needs crack repair and washing before paint. Skipping that prep is a common reason a low bid fails early.
- Color changes, repairs, and cabinet work are different jobs from a same-color repaint.
- Summer humidity in Orlando can slow exterior schedules. Many crews prefer November through April for exteriors.
How to use a range
Ask two or three companies for a written scope: surfaces, coats, who moves furniture, who repairs stucco, and what is excluded. Compare the scope before the price. The hiring guide and the ranking methodology cover what this site looks for besides price.
This page does not rank painters and does not offer a price.
